Ramkalawans welcome Japanese Atomic Bomb survivors at State House

President Wavel Ramkalawan and First Lady Linda Ramkalawan yesterday at State House welcomed three atomic bomb survivors currently on a journey of the Hibakusha (atomic bomb survivors) around the world on board the Peace Boat. 

The meeting was an opportunity for the survivors to express their gratitude to the President and the people of Seychelles for Seychelles' leadership in bringing about the Treaty on the Abolition of Nuclear Weapons (TPNW). 

The delegation included Ms Tanaka Toshiko - atomic bomb survivor from Hiroshima;  Mr Tanaka Terumi - atomic bomb survivor from Nagasaki;  Mr Ogawa Tadayoshi - Hibakusha from Nagasaki  and other Peace Boat Vogage Project and Youth coordinators.
